Event
NIH SACNAS (Affinity Group) Networking Event: Practicing your Elevator Pitch
Organizer: Natasha Lugo-Escobar and Elena Hernandez-Ramon, OITE
About this event
The NIH chapter of SACNAS (Society for the Advancement of Chicano/Hispanic and Native Americans in Science) strives to enhance the environment for Chicano/Hispanic and Native American scientists at the NIH. Join us to develop and practice a research “elevator pitch” in a structured, low-stress setting among peers. An elevator pitch is a brief statement that communicates what you do in a manner that any listener can understand in a short period of time (e.g., the time it takes to ride an elevator between floors). Elevator pitches sell your science and/or concept to a potential collaborator, mentor, supporter or future employer.
