Position Descriptions: Sales Representatives:
Seeking several molecular biologists interested in exploring non-traditional career paths. We need motivated professionals to join our sales team. Duties will include handling sales calls with new and established customers; generating and qualifying sales leads; conducting market research; coordinating schedules of sales calls and product demonstrations; attending trade shows; providing customer follow through on new equipment; acting as liaison between sales, marketing and customer service departments. Opportunities in Waltham MA and South San Francisco CA facilities. Must have an advanced degree in science, MS or PhD in Molecular Biology strongly preferred; recent bench top
experience; excellent communication skills, proficiency in MS Office; and be highly self motivated, personable and energetic.Technical Marketing Writers:
Successful and well-established biotech firm seeks an accomplished wordsmith for its fast-paced marcom group. Responsible for writing scientific text and copy as needed for operations manuals, marketing collaterals, ad campaigns, technical documents, web site, etc. Ideal candidate distills tech info for biomed market with clarity and precision, and crafts punchy copy for promotional efforts equally well. Must handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Three plus years tech writing or scientific writing experience and computer proficiency required; PhD in life sciences degree preferred.Product Managers:
We seek a highly motivated individual to promote programs, support sales, track product performance and coordinate launches of new products. Duties will include planning of promotional calendar and implementation of campaigns and projects, as well as competitive product analysis, reporting and related training of sales force. Other responsibilities include directing and coordinating production of marketing materials related to consumable products, providing product support and attending trade shows. Opportunities exist in our Waltham, Massachusetts and South San Francisco, California facilities. Requirements are advanced degree in molecular biology or equivalent, preferably including experience with PCR or cycle sequencing. Must have demonstrated sales and/or marketing experience, along with excellent organizational and communication skills, and solid MS Office skills.Product Support Specialists:
MJ Research has immediate openings for Product Support Specialists in its newly formed Automated Sequencer Division. Candidates will install, train, service and support sequencers while relaying customer feedback for continued product improvement and reliability. Must have a degree in biology, engineering or related fields. Experience with automated fluorescent DNA sequencing and/or genotyping systems preferred. Some travel required.
