  • Opportunity to Improve Your Scientific Presentation Skills
Looking for a forum to practice your presentation for a lab meeting, conference, job talk, or other scientific event? Then look no further. The PresentAtion Skills Seminar (PASS) provides a forum where you can receive constructive feedback to improve both your specific scientific presentation and your general verbal communication skills. PASS will enable you to see how a scientifically diverse audience responds to your presentation. We guarantee a positive and encouraging atmosphere. With real-time audience feedback you can make your talk effective, interesting, and comprehensible, not just to colleagues in your field, but to others who are interested in your work.

Don't have a talk to practice? Not a problem. We also encourage fellows to be part of the PASS audience. Whether you participate as a speaker or an audience member, you will take away valuable information on how to improve an all-important scientific skill: effectively communicating your science. PASS is a collaborative effort of the NCI CCR Fellows and Young Investigators group and the NIH Office of Intramural Training & Education (OITE).

Contact Raed Samara (samarar@mail.nih.gov) or Brid Ryan (ryanb@mail.nih.gov) for additional information.
