NIH SACNAS Chapter Monthly Meeting: Mentoring: a rewarding tool for both mentors and mentees

Workshop/Seminar: Personal Development; Teaching/Mentoring

Feb 15, 2018

This event is recommended for: Postbacs; Graduate Students; Postdocs/Fellows; NIH Staff Scientist/Staff Clinician.

The NIH-SACNAS Chapter (Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science) would like to invite you to their next meeting. This meeting will focus on mentoring.

Mentoring is a multifaceted and essential component of everyone's professional and personal lives. As trainees, we need to be able to choose the right mentors and know how to engage with them in a very productive manner. Moreover, there are plenty of situations in which we become the mentors and have the responsibility to wisely- guide other members of the lab. Please join NCI scientist, Dr. Ofelia Olivero, author of "Interdisciplinary Mentoring, Strategies for Success"  who will talk about mentoring and its importance for personal growth. It will be a fun and interactive meeting that promise to be very useful for all trainees no matter the career level.

Everybody is welcome!
