This event is recommended for: Graduate Students; Postdocs/Fellows.

Medical affairs consist of various roles such as medical science liaisons, clinical liaisons, regulatory reviewers, regional scientific managers, medical managers, and scientific affairs managers. These roles require advanced degrees in the life sciences or health sciences. While medical affairs departments are generally associated with large pharmaceutical companies, these professionals can also serve at major academic institutions and clinics. In a pharmaceutical company, this department provides scientific input and expertise at various stages of drug development and builds domestic and international connections between scientists, medical professionals, regulatory/legal departments, as well as the public. We have a great mix of local professionals to discuss transitioning from academia to a role in medical affairs, ways to learn professional skills, and how to land that medical affairs job.

This event is sponsored by Felcom.
