Oct 30, 2019

Speaker(s): Michael Sheridan, PhD, OITE Special Advisor for Diversity and Wellness Programs
This event is recommended for: Summer Interns; Postbacs; Graduate Students; Postdocs/Fellows.

Researchers are discovering that engaging in playfulness is actually good for us – even as adults! Studies have shown that people who exhibit high levels of playfulness (e.g., being predisposed to being spontaneous, outgoing, creative, fun-loving, and lighthearted), appear to be more innovative, more likely to succeed academically, more likely to report leading active lifestyles, and better able to cope with stress. Come join others on this Wellness Wednesday’s discussion on “Playfulness!” (There may be candy…not paid for by federal funds). Feel free to bring your lunch – microwave is available!
