FREDERICK: OITE Mindfulness Meditation - Letting Life Live Through You

Discussion Group/Brown Bag: Personal Development; Wellness

Nov 21, 2019

Speaker(s): Kelly Donahue, PhD, OITE Wellness Advisor
This event is recommended for: Postbacs; Graduate Students; Postdocs/Fellows.

We often find ourselves in a “push-pull” relationship with life, often unsuccessfully trying to make life do what we want or think we need.  Living this way can leave us feeling frustrated, exhausted and inadequate as life often doesn’t behave the way we want it to. When we accept life as it is, we are more in harmony with ourselves and life itself.  Today’s meditation will help us tap into the flow of life and discover the peace that comes with “not pushing the river.” Please arrive a few minutes before the session to sign in and get settled for practice.

Please join us on Thursday, November 21st at 3:45pm for Mindfulness Meditation with OITE Wellness Advisor, Kelly Donahue at NCI Frederick in Building 549/Conference Room A.  The meditation session provides a welcoming and confidential space to explore positive and proactive ways to build your resilience and self-care skills.
