This workshop will guide you through the process of planning and writing the personal statements that will be an important component of your applications for graduate school admission.


1) Understand the purpose of the different graduate school statements (personal statement, statement of purpose, and research statement).

2) Understand and discuss the main components of the personal statement  

3) Learn what characteristics make a strong personal statement
