Position Description:
The Program in Cellular and Molecular Medicine (PCMM) at Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) together with the Department of Microbiology and Immunobiology (MBIB) at Harvard Medical School invites applications for an Assistant Professor position (Tenure Track) in the broad area of Immunology. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. We are seeking applicants with exceptional potential to become leading independent researchers. Successful candidates will be offered a competitive start-up package to direct an innovative, independent research laboratory within the PCMM at BCH, and participate in the teaching of graduate and medical students at Harvard Medical School. Areas of research interest may include, but are not limited to, mechanistic, cell, molecular, genetic or epigenetic, developmental, computational, translational or systems biology studies of the adaptive or innate immune response. This includes research to understand (or alter) the immune response to infection or cancer, immune dysregulation, inflammation, autoimmunity, tolerance and immunodeficiency.
