UCLA Health’s Biodesign Innovation Fellowship is an exciting entrepreneurial opportunity for early-stage professionals in medicine, engineering, design, and business.  We’re bringing together a best-in-class interdisciplinary team to develop technologies to solve challenging health care needs.  As a UCLA Biodesign Fellow, you will learn a framework for clinical innovation and entrepreneurship at a nationally ranked health system and leading academic medical center.

You will spend three months in clinical immersion in order to identify meaningful clinical needs.  To make your ideas a reality, you will enjoy the support of UCLA Health’s vast resources, such as health IT support and data scientists as well as state-of the-art prototyping, fabrication, bench-top testing, and patient simulation facilities.

Qualifications:

Early stage professionals with:

  •  An advanced degree in engineering and computer science (MS / PhD), design (MS) or business (MBA) or medicine (MD), or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience in product/software development, product design or engineering preferred.

Preference will be given to candidate exhibiting a strong interest in technology development and record of entrepreneurial activities.
