Position Description:

Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) Program Office, in the Office of the NIH Director is searching for additional Program Officer staff.

As an ECHO Health Scientist Administrator (Program Officer), you will stimulate, plan, direct, and evaluate activities for a portfolio of cooperative agreements.  ECHO program encourages those with experience in environmental science, exposure assessment and/or analytical chemistry, and/or pediatric clinical research. The ideal candidate also would have experience in implementing and overseeing new scientific programs, program evaluation and/or portfolio analysis.  The ideal candidate is highly organized, motivated, takes initiative, demonstrates leadership, and works as team member.

ECHO is nationwide program whose mission is to enhance the health of children for generations to come.  It comprises multiple longitudinal cohorts of women and children working together to examine a broad array of early environmental influences on child health and development, the IDeA States Pediatric Clinical Trials Network, and five supporting centers and cores.  The ECHO Program Office is a dynamic workplace dedicated to teamwork to achieve ECHO’s mission.
