Research Associate - New Biologics Drugs for Cancer Immunotherapy

Position Description:

We are seeking to add a highly motivated and enthusiastic research associate or specialist to our growing cross-functional team. This individual will perform cell based  assays using a variety of molecular and immunological techniques. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of new biologics drugs for cancer immunotherapy!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and perform immune assays, including ELISA-based assays
  • Perform virology assays, including Plaque and PRNT assays
  • Perform flow cytometry-based analysis and binding studies
  • Culture mammalian cells and perform cellular activity assays
  • Document, analyze and interpret experiments
  • Present results and conclusions clearly and succinctly to the team
  • Maintain good written records of laboratory procedures, results and conclusions

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in biological sciences or a related discipline with 1-3 years research experience in academia or biotech/pharma
  • Demonstrated experience with molecular and cell biology techniques including Western blot, protein measurement platforms (e.g., ELISA, MSD), and flow cytometry
  • Hands on experience with mammalian cell culture
  • Willingness to learn new techniques
  • Proficiency in data analysis (e.g., Graphpad Prism, FlowJo)
  • Animal work experience will be an advantage although not required (must be willing to learn)
  • Attention to detail, documentation of data, and effectively communicate results
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment
  • Experience with biologics drug discovery is a plus
