Jecho Laboratories, Inc. (Jecho) is a biopharmaceutical company developing innovative therapeutic biologics, including therapeutic monoclonal antibodies, cytokines, immunotoxins, and vaccines to address a broad range of diseases as well as treatment of cancer and infectious disease. The company headquarters is located in Frederick Maryland, USA.

We are seeking a Process Development Associate to join our R&D in Frederick MD. Qualified individuals will execute small scale cell culture process development and basic analytical studies. The ideal candidate will make detailed observations, analyze data, interpret results, and exercise appropriate technical judgment in the execution of studies. The candidate will receive general instructions from a supervisor for routine work and tasks. The candidate is expected to be eager to learn, highly productive, well organized, and self-motivated.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform mammalian cell culture activities such as maintaining cells, transfection, selection, clone screening and cell banking.
  • Perform process development activities such as medium optimization and process scale up in bench-top bioreactors.  
  • Conduct routine biological and physiochemical assays, such as SDS-PAGE, WB, ELISA, and HPLC.
  • Generate and maintain experimental data in a highly organized manner.
  • Write experiment reports.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biological science, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related fields.
  • 0-5 years’ industry experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology field.
  • Meticulous laboratory practice and good aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively as a cross-functional team member.
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture, cell line maintenance, and bioreactors are preferred.
