Position Description:

California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) invites applications for a cluster hire of faculty with demonstrated records of success in teaching, research, and/or service with anti-racism and the experiences of Black/African American communities. The positions begin Fall 2022 and are open rank (Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor).

This call is multidisciplinary, and includes the Health Sciences Program, seeking a teacher-scholar colleague (open rank) with expertise in the broad area of Minority Health and Health Disparities, with specific focus in the African American community. This position aims to develop and integrate current topics in health disparities within the curriculum, as well as to enhance the capacity of program faculty and students to incorporate health disparities within their ongoing scholarship and education, so as to fully address the program’s mission statement. Candidates are expected to be able to teach across the curriculum, and to involve students in research and scholarship.
