Position Description:

The program in Health Sciences at California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in Minority Health and Health Disparities. Topics of research and methodological approaches are open. However, we aim to hire a dedicated teacher-scholar focused on broader issues related to health and social inequalities with an emphasis on traditionally disadvantaged or underserved populations in the US. Applicants’ profiles should complement the diverse strengths and disciplinary backgrounds within the CSUCI Health Sciences Program emphasizing excellence in teaching across the Health Sciences curriculum. Applicants with research and/or teaching experience in epidemiology are preferred, though this specialization is not a requirement. Candidates from historically underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.
