OITE Well-Being Campaign 2022

Volunteers Wanted

The NIH OITE wants to hear more about the wellness of research trainees both within its walls and beyond. How do you take care of yourself?  What are the things you do or the activities you immerse yourself in to feel alive and well?  Each of us is unique in the many ways we think, feel, and express. This is an opportunity to showcase the diversity in mental health practices among biomedical researchers!

We have provided a template for your submissions. The template states, “I take care of myself by…” at the top of the page.

  1. Print out the template (or use your own) and write down what you do to take care of yourself (Examples: I take care of myself by ... painting with watercolors, taking my kids to the playground, trying something new).
  2. Snap a photo of yourself proudly holding your well-being sign!
  3. Email your submissions to: Importantly, we ask you to please use the email subject line: “Well-being Campaign 2022” when submitting.
  4. Submissions are due Wednesday, May 18, 2022 (by 5pm).

Alternatively, please feel free to be creative and make your own sign! Take pride in expressing yourself individually or in connection with the actions you engage in to take care of yourself.

If you would like a better idea of what the final product might look like, check out the I Believe campaign we put together last year.

We  look forward to seeing your submissions!* In the meantime, please remember to take care of yourself and to use the many OITE Wellness Resources we offer both on our website and social media channels (Twitter & YouTube).

Stay well,

Jeff in OITE

*Disclaimer: By participating in this project through submission of a photo or document, you are granting the Office of Intramural Training & Education at NIH to utilize it for posting on the OITE website and social media platforms (such as YouTube, Twitter, etc.). Depending upon the number of submissions, our plan is to create a picture montage video to publish on our OITE YouTube channel. We plan to distribute the link to the published video via email once complete.
