Patent Prosecution - Technical Advisor (Life Sciences)

Position Description:

Mintz is a law firm with a strong life sciences patent practice. We are seeking postdoctoral fellows to join our team in Washington, DC as technical advisors and receive training to become registered patent agents. Salary is commensurate with experience ($100-150k).

As a technical advisor, you will help to build and manage patent portfolios for life sciences start-up companies. Research backgrounds in cell therapy, vaccines, immunotherapy, gene therapy, or genomics are particularly desirable.

Prior experience or demonstrated interest in patent law or technology transfer is preferred but not required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • PhD in Immunology, Structural Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or Genetics
  • Post-doctoral research (3+ years)
  • Knowledge of life sciences industry
  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities, stay organized, and exercise attention to detail
  • Located in Washington, DC
