Position Description:
A postdoctoral fellow position is open to study genetically engineered oncolytic herpes simplex virus for immunovirotherapy. The overarching focus of the laboratory is developing this therapy to target pediatric brain tumors. Opportunities exist to study mechanisms of therapeutic resistance by exploring the role of tumor genotype, phenotype, and microenvironment; and cellular defense mechanisms so that newer viruses, novel combinations, and unique routes of virus delivery may be developed to circumvent resistance mechanisms.

The selected candidate will be expected to apply a wide variety of specialized & advanced techniques, primarily in cell and molecular biology and general and molecular virology. The successful candidate must be able to handle and work with mice and will be expected to be able to perform surgeries.

Requirements:
