Duties and Responsibilities:
MedImmune is seeking a creative and innovative postdoctoral fellow with a strong background in molecular biology, virology or immunology to lead an independent research project investigating alternative treatment approaches to combat viral pathogens and respiratory disease. This is a three-year lab-based, hands-on research position where the candidate will present their work to internal and external audiences and publish the findings of their research.

Requirements:
Education:
PhD or anticipated PhD in molecular biology, virology, immunology, biomedical engineering or related scientific discipline.

Essential Skills:
Include being a highly motivated scientist with particular attention to detail and the ability to independently think, design experiments, analyze and interpret data. Experience writing scientific publications in peer reviewed journals. Verbal and written English fluency. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Proficient in mammalian cell culture techniques.
Desirable Requirements

Desired Experience:
Includes the following: background in monoclonal antibodies and antibody formats, in vivo animal training with potential model development, and experience working with virus and virus handling techniques.
