Position Description:

A postdoctoral position is available in the Division of Cellular and Gene Therapies, FDA. Our research is focused on understanding the advanced manufacturing of CRISPR/Cas9-edited cellular therapeutics. The successful candidate will work on CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing in human hematopoietic stem cells and other cell types and will use advanced manufacturing tools to better understand the ex vivo expansion and manufacturing of CRISPR-based cellular therapeutics.

Qualifications:

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering, Stem cell/Developmental biology with less than three years of postdoctoral experience. Prior working experience with hematopoietic stem cells and CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technology is preferred. A strong background in molecular and cellular biology, NGS analysis, Flow cytometry, Xenotransplantation model and immunological assays are plus. Industrial working experience in cell/gene therapy product manufacturing is highly desirable. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.
