Immunology and Molecular Biology

University of Virginia School of Medicine, University of Virginia Cancer Center, Charlottesville, Virginia

Position Description:

An immediate NIH funded postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Laboratory of Dr. Bhatnagar for a project focusing on triple-negative breast cancer and tumor micro-immune environment. My laboratory has a broad interest in the identification of targetable epigenetic readers, writers, and erasers for which we use large-scale and focused loss-of-function shRNA and CRISPR/Cas9 genetic screens. We routinely use small molecule inhibitors, RNAi, immunotherapies, and nanoparticles to generate effective cancer therapies. This particular position is for 1 year with the possibility to extend for an additional year based on productivity. For additional information about the project, contact directly Dr. Bhatnagar (

To support our current ongoing activities, we are looking for a postdoctoral scientist with experience in immunology and molecular biology. From the model system perspective, we will prefer a candidate with a strong background in cancer cells and murine models. In addition, experience with immune cells, high throughput sequencing (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq), animal handing and tumor xenografts are highly desirable.
