Position Description:

An opportunity is currently available for an NIH funded Postdoctoral Fellow in the Murnane Laboratory, which is housed in the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology & Neuroscience at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Available research projects may provide training with techniques of behavioral pharmacology, neuroimaging, neuropharmacology, and pharmacokinetics in rodents and human subjects.
Research topics focus on the use of anti-inflammatory cannabinoids, psychedelics, and neuropeptides as potential treatments for addiction. The Fellow will receive extensive career mentoring and training. They will also have access to state-of-the-art core research ( The Fellow will also have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the new Louisiana Addiction Research Center (, as well as interact with the numerous colleagues and mentors within the center. Opportunities are also available for research collaboration, mentorship, and career development funding within the Center for Cardiovascular Diseases and Sciences ( Information about the Department is provided at: toxicology-and-neuroscience. Competitive compensation will be provided. Extensive research and career- development support will be provided by Dr. Murnane as well as the department and the research centers.
