These are recombinant proteins consisting of an Fv attached to a portion of Pseudomonas exotoxin A. Several are in clinical trials. Current efforts are focused on improving the properties of these agents using protein engineering to increase their cell killing activity and half-life in the circulation, and decreasing non-specific side effects. Applicant must have experience in protein engineering, preferably with antibodies.
