Molecular Biology Research in Aging and Age-related Health Disparities

Position Description:
The National Institute on Aging (NIA) is a research component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). A fully funded postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Health Disparities Research Section of the Laboratory of Epidemiology and Population Science, at the NIA Intramural Research Program in Baltimore, MD. The laboratory uses an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to study the molecular biology, genetic epidemiology and genomics of health disparities, aging and age-related diseases.

Postdoctoral fellows with a background in mitochondrial biology and oxidative stress are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates must have less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience, a Ph.D. (or M.D.) degree and skills in molecular biology, computational biology or biochemistry. Salary is commensurate with research experience, according to the NIH intramural pay scale.
