Epigenomic Regulation of Enhancers

National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, Bethesda, MD and surrounding area

Position Description:

A postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Kai Ge’s lab at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), NIH, located in Bethesda, Maryland. We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow to study epigenomic regulation of transcriptional enhancers. We use a combination of tools, including epigenomics (ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, HiChIP), bioinformatics, high-resolution imaging, proteomics, CRISPR gene editing and mouse genetics, to study how enhancer epigenomic writers and readers regulate cell identity gene induction in adipogenesis, myogenesis, ES cell differentiation, and mouse development. Additional information can be found at: https://irp.nih.gov/pi/kai-ge.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences with less than 4 years postdoctoral experience. A strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or bioinformatics is desired. Stipend will be commensurate with experience.
