Position Description:

A postdoctoral scientist position is available in bioinformatics in the Systemic Autoimmunity Branch (SAB) at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. The SAB focuses on understanding the role of the innate immune system in the development of autoimmune diseases such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis using animal models and human samples. Salary will be commensurate with research experience in the NIH system.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a PhD in computational biology or a related field. Successful candidates should have a strong background in computer programming, statistics and computational biology. A demonstrated record of scientific accomplishment is required, and experience in immunology, molecular/cellular biology or biochemistry is preferred.
