Cell Biology of Legionella Infection

Position Description: 

A postdoctoral position is available in the Section on Microbial Pathogenesis, Division of Molecular and Cellular Biology, NICHD, to investigate host-pathogen interactions during Legionella infection. The project will focus on exploring how host cell signaling and trafficking pathways affect the outcome of an infection by the bacterium Legionella.

Candidates should be highly motivated, independent thinkers with a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field or an M.D. degree with research experience. A strong background in cell biology, protein biochemistry, and molecular biology is required. Candidates should have a demonstrated history of productivity and should have no more than 4 years of postdoctoral experience at the time of appointment.
