Position Description:

Post-doctoral fellowships are available in the Integrative Cellular Metabolism Section of the NIDDK, NIH. Research will focus on defining neural circuits involved in the regulation of metabolism and related disorders. See example of recently published work Projects will use mouse models in combination with tracers and advanced neuroscience tools like optogenetics, chemogenetics, fiber photometry and real-time imaging of neuronal activity. Fellows will get an opportunity to collaborate with established investigators in the field of neuroscience.


Demonstrated experience in neuroscience research is required. Familiarity with diabetes/obesity research is helpful. Applicants should have received their Ph.D. within the past three years.
