The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We seek candidates conducting innovative environmental or occupational health research. Areas of departmental expertise include environmental toxicology, exposure science, occupational health, environmental epidemiology, injury prevention, and community-engaged research.
About the position
The successful candidate will be expected to teach environmental health or toxicology courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels and mentor students and fellows. Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentorship and a commitment to student success are required. Academic rank and salary will align with the candidate’s training, qualifications, and experience.

Qualifications
- A doctoral degree in environmental health or a related field.
- A strong record of research accomplishments and publications commensurate with rank.
- Candidates should demonstrate substantial scholarship and the potential to develop an independent, extramurally funded research program.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and contribute to educational programs for undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral trainees.
