Job

Postdoctoral Fellow (Children's National Hospital)

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Ouyang Lab at Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C.

About the position

Dr. Yingshi Ouyang is a Principal Investigator in the Center for Prenatal, Neonatal, and Maternal Health Research at the Children’s Research Institute and the Institute for Developing Brain at Children’s National Hospital. Our lab investigates the molecular and cellular processes in placental homeostasis, as well as the pathways that are complicated and altered by placental insufficiency in the maternal-placental-fetal trio-ecosystem. Specifically, we focus on the impact of substance use disorder on pregnancy, placental function, and fetal neurodevelopment. Additionally, we are interested in the role of placental extracellular vesicles in high-risk pregnancies and their translational application. We invite applications from individuals holding a PhD or MD/PhD in a biomedical field, with 0-2 years of postdoctoral experience. Candidates with a strong background in neuroscience, organoid bioengineering, and molecular genetics are especially encouraged to apply.
