The laboratory of Dr. Natalie Porat-Shliom is seeking a highly-motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join their interdisciplinary research team focused on hepatocyte cell biology and liver zonation in health and disease.
About the position
Our laboratory combines advanced microscopy (including intravital microscopy), mouse genetics, and multi-omics strategies to investigate the regulation of organelle dynamics in vivo. We aim to understand how tissue-level compartmentalization shapes liver physiology and pathological conditions such as Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease and liver cancer.
In particular, we are interested in how organelle-organelle interactions affect hepatic metabolism and how these interactions are remodeled in disease. The successful candidate will investigate organelle dynamics in healthy and diseased liver models using state-of-the-art imaging, quantitative image analysis, and complementary molecular approaches.
This position offers an opportunity to work at the interface of cell biology, metabolism, liver pathophysiology, and cutting-edge imaging in a collaborative and stimulating research environment.
