Postdoctoral Associate (Connecticut)

The Wang Lab at the Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine is now seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to study molecular mechanisms in hematological malignancies.

About the position

The overall goal of our laboratory is to understand the processes that drive Leukemia disease initiation and therapy resistance to identify new therapeutic strategies. Our laboratory uses a multidisciplinary approach by integrating genomics, epigenomics, and immunology.

This prospective postdoctoral scientist will lead an exciting project that applies a broad range of cutting-edge technologies, such as CRISPR-based tools, single-cell multi-omics, and cancer mouse models. The ideal candidate would have a strong background in molecular biology, cancer biology and genomic technologies. Exceptional candidates can show early independence through the JAX Scholars Program.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, or a related field of study. Strong training background in molecular biology, cell biology, next-generation sequencing technology is also required. Experience in computational biology, genetic screens and single-cell technologies is preferred.

Candidates should also have at least one 1st author publication record in a peer-reviewed journal, excellent writing and communication skills, and the able to work both independently and effectively as part of a productive research team.
