Postdoctoral Fellow

The Structural Biology Core at the NationaI Institute of Environmental Health Sciences is now seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team in investigating fundamental biological mechanisms and their relevance to human health and disease.

About the position

Prospective candidates will contribute to projects spanning molecular and structural biology, biochemistry, and biophysics, and have opportunities to work across a diverse set of research areas including immunology, DNA replication and repair, and the function of heparan sulfates and their binding targets.

As a postdoctoral fellow in our lab, you will use biological, biophysical and structural biology to interrogate health-related pathways using structural approaches such as X-ray crystallography and CyroEM, as well as using dynamic single molecule approaches like the C-Trap.

Qualifications

Prospective candidates should have a PhD in biochemistry and/or a similar degree with no more than 1 year of post-graduation research experience. We encourage candidates with experience in eukaryotic protein expression and purification, CryoEM, and/or utilizing LUMICK C-Trap to apply.
