Postdoctoral Fellow

Our laboratory focuses on understanding the molecular drivers of renal cystic disease and tubular morphogenesis. To do so, we use a mix of modern approaches—including single-cell transcriptomics, proteomics, organoid cultures, and custom animal models—to investigate how mutations in PKD proteins (PKD1, PKD2, PKHD1) disrupt cellular networks and lead to cyst formation in ADPKD and ARPKD.

Our goal is to understand cystogenesis and use gained insights to develop new therapeutic strategies for patients. We are seeking a fellow who enjoys an intellectually stimulating intramural research environment and would benefit from access to state-of-the-art core facilities and career development resources, as well as multiple weekly seminars, interest groups, and guest lectures from impactful NIH and visiting scientists.

Prospective candidates must possess a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant biological science field. A strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, and/or cell biology, along with previous experience in mouse models, organoids, omics, high-throughput methods, and advanced microscopy, are welcome but not required.

Candidates should have a strong track record of productivity as evidenced by publications. This fellow will be expected to actively participate in our intellectual discussions, constructively challenging data, and test assumptions in a collegial, collaborative lab environment.
