Postdoctoral Fellow

The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism Section on Clinical Genomics and Experimental Therapeutics, under the leadership of Dr. Falk W. Lohoff, is now seeking a postdoctoral fellow to conduct clinical research at the NIH Clinical Research Center in Bethesda, MD.

About the position

The Section on Clinical Genomics and Experimental Therapeutics uses translational research strategies to investigate novel targets for the development and treatment of alcohol use disorder, addiction, and its related phenotypes. Specifically, we carry out human pharmacological clinical trials in alcohol use disorder populations, including studies on GLP1/GIP agonists.

Qualifications

Prospective candidates should have a strong background in clinical psychology, psychiatry, neurobiology, and/or neuroscience, with a history of solid prior publication and strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be US Citizens or permanent residents and have less than 5 years of post-doctoral training. Salary is set by NIH commensurate with experience.
