The Molecular Immunoengineering Section at the NIAID Vaccine Research Center is now seeking a creative, self-motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join their team.
About the position
Our research spans from basic immunology and virology to translational sciences with the goal of advancing vaccine concepts that would radically improve immune responses to vaccines. Prospective postdoctoral candidates will lead scientific projects focusing on B cell immunology and human immunology to pathogens, utilizing preclinical animal models, immunological assays, and techniques spanning virology, molecular biology, and protein biochemistry.
The Molecular Immunoengineering Section is part of the VRC's multidisciplinary and highly collaborative research environment where advanced technologies and approaches are used to accelerate biomedical discovery and refine and advance vaccines to protect against infectious diseases.

Qualifications
Prospective applicants should have a PhD in immunology, virology, or a related field and less than three years of postdoctoral experience. Recent and/or PhD graduates are encouraged to apply.
Expertise in immunological techniques, particularly flow cytometry, as well a strong publication record relative to the applicants career stage and a clear sense of organization, purpose, and accountability is all highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of team are required.
