Job

Postdoctoral Fellow

The laboratory of Dr. Brant Weinstein in the NICHD Division of Developmental Biology in Bethesda, Maryland is currently seeking postdoctoral fellows to study the 'Genetics of Epigenetics' in zebrafish and in complementary cavefish, mouse, and cell culture models.

About the position

The Weinstein laboratory uses a variety of cutting-edge molecular, cellular, and genetic approaches, including transgenic modeling, microscopic imaging, and next-gen sequencing, to study the role of epigenetics during development and regeneration. Examples of our recent work include the epigenetic regulation of hematopoiesis by DNA methylation, an epigenetic mechanism for cavefish eye degeneration, a novel transgenic reporter to study vertebrate epigenetics, and an early epigenetic priming of regeneration explored via a novel transgenic epigenetic reporter.

Our current projects include the use our new 'EpiTag' transgenic epigenetic reporter line to study the epigenetics of development and regeneration, including the epigenetic regulators of vascularization.

Lastly, our scientific environment, institutional resources, and support for postdoctoral fellows, including stipend, are unmatched. Learn more about the Weinstein lab here.
