Postdoctoral IRTA Position on Mucosal Immunity and Vaccine Development for Emerging Respiratory Viruses

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team in conducting cutting-edge research on mucosal immune and vaccine responses to respiratory viruses, including coronaviruses and influenza. The successful candidate will employ advanced immunological and virological techniques—such as high-dimensional flow cytometry and spatial profiling—to dissect the mechanisms of immune protection and pathogenesis following viral infection or vaccination. Responsibilities include designing and performing experiments within BSL-2 to BSL-4 containment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to innovative research projects focused on mucosal immunity and vaccine efficacy.

The candidate will analyze and interpret complex datasets, prepare manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals, and present findings at national and international conferences. Mentorship and training of junior lab members are also integral components of this role. Highly motivated candidates with a strong background in adaptive immunology and vaccinology are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to conduct independent, rigorous research and possess a solid record of scientific publications. Proficiency in advanced laboratory techniques—including multiparameter flow cytometry, immunoassays, and analysis of complex immunological datasets—is highly desirable. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment, are essential. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in immunology or a related discipline and have less than two years of postdoctoral experience.
