This event will be held on June 22nd, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

EARssentials is a free, week-long course offered by NIDCD faculty and staff designed to introduce the auditory system, hearing research, and experimental approaches used to study the inner ear. Earssentials will feature mini-lectures, live discussions, and workshop sessions focused on inner ear biology, hearing disorders, and the research tools and techniques used across modern auditory science.

How to attend this event

This is a Hybrid event. Virtual participation details will be shared with registered attendees. In-person sessions will be held in Building 35A on the NIH main campus in Bethesda, MD.
