Britney started her career as a microbiologist, receiving a B.S. in Biological Sciences: Microbiology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2012. She went on to complete a Ph.D. in Emerging Infectious Diseases at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 2020 and completed a postdoc at the National Cancer Institute in 2022.
