Emily Summerbell is a Program Manager in the Office of Postdoctoral Services (OPS), where she coordinates professional development and community building programming for NIH postdocs and fellows. Emily is dedicated to fostering community and belonging for all NIH fellows, both at Bethesda and across the many NIH satellite campuses.

Emily started her career as a cancer biologist, receiving her B.A. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Vanderbilt University and her Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from Emory University. Before joining OITE in 2022, she was a postdoc at the National Cancer Institute.
