Laura Marler is the Director of the Office of Postdoctoral Services in the NIH Office of Intramural Training and Education. Laura is passionate about helping biomedical trainees navigate the uncertainty of career decisions while attending to their personal, professional, and scientific development. She also directs the High School Scientific Training and Enrichment Program (HiSTEP) 2.0, a summer research program for recent high school graduates, and serves as co-advisor for the Fellows of All Abilities (FAAb) affinity group.

Laura received a B.S. in chemistry from Furman University and completed her doctoral training in biology at the NIH as a student in the NIH—Johns Hopkins University Graduate Partnerships Program. She joined the OITE in 2019, where she has enjoyed working with trainees at all levels to develop the career skills and resilience they need to make vital scientific contributions.
