Becoming a Resilient Scientist Discussion Group for Unit 1

Speaker: Sharon Milgram, OITE

About this event

This facilitated small group discussion will allow you to reflect on the material from “Becoming a Resilient Scientist Series Unit 1: An Introduction to Resilience and Wellness” in a safe and confidential space. We will discuss how the materials relate to your own life, learn from each other, and support one another.

We all experience setback and disappointments in science, work, and life. In this webinar we will look at seven key elements of resilience with a focus on building habits that promote healthier responses and resilient behaviors in the face of set-back in educational and work environments.

**Attendees must attend or watch the lecture portion of the series prior to attending this discussion group.

Date

Sep 21, 2023

Time

3pm - 4pm

Location

Building 45 (Natcher), Room A/B

Intended Audience

Postdoctoral Fellows, Graduate Students, Postbac

How to attend

This is a hybrid event, held in person on the NIH Bethesda campus. We strongly encourage local participants to join us in person as there are substantial benefits to networking with colleagues, taking a walk across campus, and getting out of the research space. We also encourage trainees and fellows on other campuses to gather for “watch parties” for the same reasons.
