Career Transition Series: #3 – Career Self-Management

Speaker: Denise Saunders, OITE

About this event

Change and transition are a part of life. Whether your next steps involve furthering your education and training or accepting a fulltime position, the training experience at the NIH has led to preparation for a transition and professional next steps. This 3-part series focuses on skills needed to successfully make career and professional transitions. Each workshop will focus on a different stage of the career transition and allow participants to plan and prepare for the transition, establish a framework for success and engage in career self-management. Participants are encouraged to attend all three workshops but not required.

Career transitions are times of excitement and uncertainty. Identifying personal needs and professional goals can offer increased confidence during the transition and increase the likelihood of goal attainment. The third workshop in the Career Transitions Series - Career Self-Management - explores essential personal and professional skills to support individual success as you embrace new beginnings. Join us for a presentation followed by group discussion about upcoming transitions.
