OITE Orientation for New Postbacs - Q&A

Speaker: Natasha Lugo-Escobar, OITE

About this event

Just recently arrived to the NIH? Wondering how to make the most of your postbac experience and what NIH has to offer? If so, come learn about OITE and trans-NIH resources and activities that can enrich your NIH experience. This is a great chance to meet OITE staff and get your questions answered as you start settling in your lab and planning your next step. There will be a short presentation at the beginning followed by Q&A session. *OITE will host a 1.5 hour orientation session on March 18 where we will discuss getting to know the NIH, understanding research group culture, navigating resources, and skills for success.**

NOTE: please make certain to attend any Institute- or Center-specific orientations as well.

How to attend

This is a hybrid event, held in person on the NIH Bethesda campus. We strongly encourage local participants to join us in person as there are substantial benefits to networking with colleagues, taking a walk across campus, and getting out of the research space. We also encourage trainees and fellows on other campuses to gather for “watch parties” for the same reasons.
