Postdoctoral Fellow

The Craniofacial Anomalies and Regeneration Section, directed by Dr. Janice Lee, D.D.S, M.D., M.S., at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, is now seeking a postdoctoral fellow to join her team.

About the position

The successful candidate will work on clinical data and mouse models to study the pathogenesis of temporomandibular disorder in rare diseases. These animal models will further be used to elucidate the molecular and cellular mechanisms that lead to alterations in normal temporomandibular joint development. As such, this project involves various techniques including micro-CT, histology, immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, bulk RNA-Seq analysis, scRNA-Seq analysis, among others.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D. or D.D.S./Ph.D. degree with expertise relevant to our research area. Prior experience with translational research is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication should be evidenced by a record of research publications and presentations.
