Postdoctoral Fellow

The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism Section on Clinical Genomics, under the direction of Dr. Falk W. Lohoff, is now recruiting for post-doctoral fellows to conduct research within the NIH Clinical Research Center in Bethesda, MD.

About the position

The Section on Clinical Genomics uses translational research strategies to investigate genetic susceptibility and the neuro-adaptive processes underlying the development and treatment of alcohol use disorder, addiction, and its related phenotypes.

Specifically, our lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms involved in addiction biology and works to generate and integrate large multiomic data sets and various target validation paradigms and experiments. Prospective candidates should have a strong background in molecular biology, molecular genetics, and/or epigenetics, asl well as with sequencing techniques and bioinformatics analyses, and a history of solid publication.

Qualifications
