The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute is now seeking to recruit an outstanding Staff Clinician with expertise in vascular medicine, rheumatology, or hematology to support the Laboratory of Vascular Thrombosis and Inflammation.
About the position
The primary responsibilities of this staff science with be in service of supporting the NHLBI translational and clinical research program. These responsibilities include providing expert patient care, supporting research study design and execution, analyzing data, and writing manuscripts.
The Vascular Thrombosis & Inflammation Program works with a wide range of independent research groups, and the position offers exceptional opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside of the NIH. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Principal Investigator of the Laboratory of Vascular Thrombosis and Inflammation. The faculty in the NHLBI is an outstanding group of internationally recognized biomedical researchers covering a wide range of basic and clinical research topics complemented by the other research institutes within the NIH.

Qualifications
Candidates should have a strong track record of achievement, expertise, and experience in the area of cardiology, vascular medicine, autoimmune diseases, immunology, and/or hematology. Applicants must have a medical degree (M.D., M.B.B.S., or D.O.). Salary is commensurate with clinical and research experience. The candidate must be licensed in the United States and must be able to obtain a Maryland Medical License.
