The National Institutes of Health is pleased to offer the 2026 Stadtman Investigator Program for researchers seeking a tenure-track (assistant professor equivalent) position within its Intramural Research Program.

About the position

As a faculty member of the Intramural Research Program, you will work at a research institution whose hallmarks are stable funding, intellectual freedom, shared resources, and access to a wide range of scientific expertise and the world’s largest hospital dedicated to clinical research. We seek creative thinkers eager to take on innovative, high-impact research. The research may be conducted at any of the several dedicated NIH campuses across the country.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an M.D., Ph.D., D.D.S., D.V.M., D.O., or equivalent doctoral degree; have a strong record of research accomplishments in any field relevant to the NIH mission as evidenced by high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals; and be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or non-permanent resident with, or eligible to obtain, a valid employment authorization visa.
