 The NIH Academy Certificate Program

The NIH Academy Certificate Program is for trainees who are interested in learning more about health disparities who may have limited previous exposure to or knowledge of the field or who may not be able to accommodate the time commitment of the Fellows' Program.

Certificate participation will require approximately 35 hours total over the course of 10 months.

Certificate candidates must

  • Attend the NIH Academy Health Disparities Short Course
  • Attend the NIH Academy Diversity Workshop
  • Attend two NIH Academy Roundtable Sessions
  • Participate in two volunteer activities
  • Attend the NIH Academy Career Panel
  • Attend Fellows Outreach Project Presentations
  • Complete applicable online assignments
